Fans invited to appear in Nickelback's new music video filming at SFU

The Canadian rock band will be filming on Aug. 30.

Canadian rock band Nickelback is filming a video for its forthcoming new single at SFU on Aug. 30, 2022.

If you've wanted to badly be in a Nickelback music video, here's your chance. 

Today (Aug. 26), the Canadian rock band announced that they will be filming a video on Tuesday (Aug. 30) at Simon Fraser University's (SFU) Burnaby campus for a new forthcoming single, which has yet to be revealed. 

The filming will take place outside Convocation Mall between 3 and 7 p.m. 

The band includes Chad Kroeger (lead singer and guitar), Mike Kroeger (bass), Ryan Peake (guitar and vocals) and Daniel Adair (drums and vocals). 

Across their career, Nickelback has won numerous awards for its videos in addition to 12 JUNO wins from 33 total nominations since 2001.

This includes Best Video and MuchLoud Best Rock Video in 2002 for Too Bad, MuchLoud Best Rock Video for Photograph in 2006, MuchMoreMusic Award for Far Away in 2007 and Video of the Year, Best Post-Production of the Year and MuchLOUD Rock Video of the Year for Gotta Be Somebody.

The group has been nominated for six Grammy Awards since 2003, but haven't won any to date.
