Burnaby will allow fireworks on private property this Halloween.

With the recent drought, some B.C. municipalities have nixed their Halloween firework festivities citing the dry conditions.

But there's no changes in Burnaby this year, according to the city's public affairs officer Cole Wagner.

Burnaby allows low-hazard fireworks on private property only on Oct. 31, with the consent of the property owner.

Fireworks displays on public property can only be done as part of a special event, and requires a permit from the Burnaby fire chief.
