It's Father's Day on Sunday (June 19).
We know life can be busy, which leads to people forgetting. So, here are some ideas for how to celebrate the fathers and father figures alike.
Father's Day at the Burnaby Village Museum
Dads love cars, right? If yours does, here's the perfect event to take him to.
The Burnaby Village Museum will have a vintage and collectible vehicle display, as well as a vintage and collectible motorcycle display, starting Sunday at 11 a.m. on Hill street.
There are also many other activities scheduled for the day including a scavenger hunt, the carousel gallery, kids conservation lab and much more.
The event is scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Hats Off Day 2022
A favourite is returning after a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused the cancellation of numerous festivals and events.
Join the Burnaby Heights community in a day of music, food and activities – including a vintage car show and shine. Join the family fun dash at 10 a.m., visit and learn at local non-profit booths from Ingleton to Esmond Avenue and party on the street at one of the biggest community festivals in the region.
The event is scheduled for Saturday (June 18) from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Golf at Burnaby's two renowned courses
Golf is always a good option, if you and dad are into that.
Burnaby Mountain has been rated by Golf Digest as "one of the best places to play" in North America with a tree-lined course spanning 5,800 to 6,400 yards.
Riverway is known as one of the premier 18-hole championship golf courses in Metro Vancouver.
The course is a little more challenging and boasts yardage of 5,400 to 7,000.

Father's Day Walk Run
The Father's Day Walk Run supports the lives of men affected with prostate cancer.
The 2022 event will be held at Burnaby Lake on the 19th (6871 Roberts St.).
Categories include a 2 kilometre stroll, 5 kilometre walk and a 10 kilometre timed run.
Online registration is closed, but those wishing to participate can register on-site the day of the event.
The event scheduled is as follows:
- 8:15 to 9:45 a.m. - registration and check-in/package pickup
- 9:30 a.m. - Tot run
- 10 a.m. - timed 10 km run
- 10:05 a.m. - 5 km walk (no runners in the event for 2022 due to pipeline rerouting)
- 10:10 a.m. - 2 km stroll
- 11 a.m. onwards - Entertainment, burgers and awards
The cost is $40.
Have breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner
