An 18-year-old accused of killing Burnaby resident Luka Gordic along with three other teens is out on bail.

Arvin Golic was in court on Monday (this morning) for his bail hearing, which had been postponed on May 28. Golic is one of four individuals charged with manslaughter for their roles in Gordic’s death in Whistler. At the hearing, he was released on bail but must remain under house arrest 24/7 except with written permission.

Golic is the third accused to be released on bail. The three others, whose names cannot be released because they are minors, were in court last month. At the May 20 hearing, two of the accused were released on bail while the third was remanded into custody where he remains at this time.

Gordic’s family, meanwhile, is petitioning Crown counsel to charge the four accused as adults. The petition is just shy of the 25,000 signatures the Gordics want before submitting it to the Crown. The petition can be found by clicking the ‘sign the petition’ link at justiceforluka.com.
