Burnaby North riding
There will be an all-candidates meeting at the Gilmore Community School gym in North Burnaby. The doors open at 6: 30 p.m., and the meeting runs from 7 to 8: 30 p.m. The meeting is being held by the Burnaby Heights Neighbourhood Association and is being hosted by Bob Nixon, a CBC TV reporter and local resident. The four Burnaby North candidates - Liberal Richard Lee, NDP candidate Janet Routledge, B.C. Conservatives candidate Wayne Marklund and B.C. Green Party candidate Carrie McLaren - are scheduled to be at the meeting. The public is encouraged to attend.
Burnaby-Edmonds riding
All-candidates meeting at Byrne Creek Secondary with the Burnaby-Edmonds NDP candidate Raj Chouhan, Green party candidate Wyatt Tessari and Liberal candidate Jeff Kuah. For the first part of the meeting, the candidates have five minutes to provide an overview of their candidacy, which will be followed by a question-and-answer period from the audience. There will be an opportunity after the meeting for an informal discussion with the candidates, as well. The meeting is scheduled between 1: 45 and 3 p.m. Members of the local community, businesses and media are welcome.
SUNDAY, APRIL 28
All four Burnaby ridings
All-candidates meeting co-hosted by the Civic Association of Iranian-Canadians, Capitol Hill Community Hall Association and Burnaby Residents Opposing Kinder Morgan Expansion (BROKE). It is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at the Capitol Hill Community Hall, 361 S. Howard Ave. The meeting will include all four of the Burnaby North riding candidates.
