Two of Burnaby's largest shopping centres have turned into Olympic viewing hubs.
With the Summer Olympics in full swing, Lougheed Town Centre and Brentwood Town Centre have both set up viewing areas for people to watch and cheer Canada on.
Shoppers will get to watch all the action on high-definition televisions in the lounge.
At Brentwood, there are also prizes, including gift cards and samples from retailers such as Starbucks, David's Tea and McDonalds.
Brentwood has three high-definition screens and full sound in the stylish lounge, which features comfortable seating in an attractive, contemporary setting.
The lounge was unveiled on July 27, just in time for the Olympic opening ceremonies, and from now until Aug. 12, it will be open from 7 a.m. to mall closing time each day.
On Sunday, Aug. 12, the final day of the Olympics, an Olympic farewell party will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Brentwood Town Centre is also awarding prizes to lounge viewers by posting their best photos from inside the lounge to the Brentwood Facebook page: www. facebook.com/brentwoodtown centre.
Winners will receive a $50 Brentwood Town Centre gift card.
The Summer Games Lounge is located on the lower level of the shopping centre, near Zellers.

Across town, at Lougheed Town Centre, the shopping centre also has three viewing areas, complete with comfortable soft seating, modern bar furniture, soft lighting and widescreen high-definition televisions.
For those who love their work - and who doesn't? - there's also free wireless Internet so you can bring your laptop and work during the commercials.
Kids can enjoy crafts and colouring while the adults watch the Games.
The Lougheed Town Centre Olympics lounge is open until Aug. 12 during mall hours.
The three viewing areas are: the Canada Lounge, located on the upper level, across from Kin's Farm Market, where visitors can enjoy a free coffee or tea each day; the centre court in front of the Bay; or the food court, where visitors can watch and eat at the same time.
