A concert slated for Deer Lake Park on Aug. 31 has been moved to a new venue, organizers announced Thursday.

Gotye, with guests Chairlift and Jonti, will now perform at the Orpheum theatre in Vancouver, according to a press release from Live Nation.

The reason for the change of venue was due to "logistical reasons," said Sandra Merz, who handles media communication for Live Nation, by email.

The show will now start at 7:30 p.m., with doors at 6:30 p.m.

Seating will be general admission, with first-come, first-served seating. Tickets purchased for the Deer Lake Park venue will be honoured at the door, with no exchange necessary.

The first 1,400 people in line will receive wristbands to guarantee them orchestra-level seating.

Tickets for the all-ages show are $45 plus service charges through Live Nation, www.livenation.com, 1-855-985-5000, or through any TicketMaster outlet.
