Burnaby's Mountain Air Bike Skills Course is slated for an upgrade, and the city wants your thoughts on what should be done.

Calling all Burnaby bikers!

The City of Burnaby is looking for public input on the redevelopment of Mountain Air Bike Skills Course.

You can share your thoughts through an online survey until Friday, Aug. 26 at midnight, or pop by an in-person open house and ride event to share feedback on design concepts on Saturday, Aug. 13.

The city hopes to create “a first-class local destination for biking enthusiasts” at the facility just off the Barnet Highway, according to a press release.

The skills park opened in 2008.

Proposed improvements include:

  • a brand-new BMX jump section
  • expanded drop-in zones
  • bike maintenance section
  • social gathering spaces

Just last month, Burnaby's own Leonardo Leavy went to the World BMX Championships in France.
