Two neighbourhood groups teamed up to host a tour of the Heights, showcasing some of the best gardens, both decorative and food-bearing.
The Heights Neighbourhood Association and the Heights Garden Society hosted the tour, which featured several local gardens, one with beehives and honey extraction demonstrations.
The tour started at the Heights Community Garden on Pender street and wove through the Heights neighbourhood. The tour was followed by an afternoon tea and cooking demonstration with a local chef, who encouraged participants to share recipes and stories about food and their heritage.
