If you're looking for a way to get rid of your Christmas tree, a group of Burnaby students can help.
The St. Thomas More Collegiate (STMC) Green Team is currently hosting a by-donation tree chipping and bottle drive event, and is set to continue until Saturday (Jan. 7).
Funds raised are earmarked for local environmental projects, including the Green Team's garden.
Trees can be dropped off at the STMC courtyard from Jan. 3 to 6 from 2:45 to 3:15 p.m. and Jan. 7 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Cash and/or card donation payments will be accepted.
Anyone wishing to drop off empty bottles can do so on Jan. 7 during the same time.
