Rain is definitely part of the forecast coming up in Vancouver.

Spring showers are going to be a theme for the week ahead in Vancouver.

It won't be without its sunny periods, but the next seven days will be predominantly damp, according to Environment Canada. Its upcoming forecast for Metro Vancouver predicts clouds, showers, and rain most of the time.

Monday will set the mood with a few showers and a high of 14 C during the day, followed by cloudy periods and a low of 7 C at night. A bit of a breeze will be coming through the city as well, with gusts down by the water hitting 40 km/h earlier in the day and tapering off as we get closer to noon.

Tuesday may be the nicest day of the work week with that overnight cloud turning into a mix of sun and cloud during the day (and a high of 13 C), but a system expected later in the day will bring rain.

That'll stick around all of Wednesday, which will be the coolest (a high of just 10 C) and wettest day of the week.

Thursday Environment Canada expects things to improve a bit (if you don't like rain) with a 60 per cent chance of showers and a high of 14 C.

As we head into the weekend things may improve more, with a mix of sun and clouds expected Friday with a high of 17 C. Friday night's low is only expected to drop to 9 C.

Saturday, May 21, is looking similar with a high of 18 C and mix of sun and cloud.
