Here's where to find the cheapest gas in Burnaby

Burnaby gas stations are in the season of giving as prices continue to record significant drops ahead of the holidays.

It appears Burnaby motorists are getting another break at the pumps less than two weeks before Christmas.

The most affordable gas in the city has dropped four cents in the last week to $1.63 per litre, as of this publication, Dec. 15, posted at the Super Save Gas on 6th Street.

That represents a four-cents decrease since last Friday, Dec. 8, and is considered to be the second cheapest available in Metro Vancouver.

GasBuddy.com says most Burnaby outlets are currently offering less than $1.70 per litre (see full list below).

Burnaby's average price for fuel also dipped to $1.66 per litre — four cents less than $1.70 from last Friday, Dec. 8, and a dip of five cents from two weeks earlier, $1.71 per litre.

Meanwhile, the most affordable gas in Metro Vancouver has dipped below $1.60 per litre.

The Canco outlet in Aldergrove (5393 248 St.) is offering $1.59 per litre, according to GasBuddy.com's latest report.

Across B.C., Fort St. John holds the title of least expensive fuel in the province, hosting $1.40 per litre at UFA along Alaska Road North.

The Esso and Circle K along 1st Avenue in Chilliwack remains the closest gas station within driving distance of Burnaby with the lowest price available, offering exactly $1.44 per litre.
