Gas prices in Burnaby have dropped just in time for the holidays.

Burnaby motorists are getting the gift of reasonably priced fuel before Christmas.

GasBuddy.com says the most affordable gas in the city is $1.60 per litre, which can be found at three locations as of this publication, Dec. 22, including both Super Saves along 6th Street and Kingsway (see full list below).

That price appears to be one of the cheapest available in all of Metro Vancouver.

It's also a decrease of three cents from the previous low of $1.63 per litre, which matches the new average weekly Burnaby gas price.

The least expensive fuel in the region is currently $1.59 per litre at the Canco along Grosvenor Road in Surrey, as well as the Shell along East Hastings Street in Vancouver.

GasBuddy.com's latest report also indicates there are at least five outlets in B.C. offering less than $1.40 per litre.

The cheapest is $1.33 per litre at Canco in Lac la Hache — located 35 km north of 100 Mile House.

The Canco along Vedder Road in Sardis is the closest gas station within driving distance of Burnaby with the most affordable price available: $1.41 per litre.
