Motorists that need to safely roam Burnaby streets this weekend during the current Arctic outflow warning will find some big breaks at local pumps.
Several outlets experienced significant declines in prices, including the two cheapest prices across the city, as of this publication, Jan. 12.
The least expensive price is $1.55 per litre, available at Smart Gas on Canada Way, which is a drop of six cents compared to last Friday, Jan. 5 (see full list below).
That's the most affordable gas in all of Metro Vancouver, according to GasBuddy.com's latest numbers.
Second in Burnaby is $1.57 per litre at Chevron on East Hastings Street, which endured the biggest weekly decrease at 12 cents from $1.69 per litre.
The average price for gas in the city sits at $1.59 per litre — a dip of seven cents compared to $1.66 per litre seven days earlier.
GasBuddy.com notes the least expensive price for fuel in B.C. is $1.36 per litre at the Super Save Gas in Quesnel.
That's a dip of two cents from $1.38 per litre last week from the same station.
The cheapest gas within driving distance of Burnaby is $1.44 per litre — 88 km east at the Centex and GOMarket stop off Yale Road in Chilliwack.
