Groundhog Day is ringing true for Burnaby motorists today, Feb. 2.
GasBuddy.com says fuel prices at local pumps saw no change or only modest increases in the last week.
When balanced, this has led to a three-cent uptick in the city's average from $1.65 to $1.68 per litre (see list below).
The cheapest gas available went up a cent to $1.64 per litre, located at Smart Gas along Canada Way, as of this publication.
That price is also considered to be one of the least expensive on the Metro Vancouver market. The lowest is $1.60 per litre at the River Road Husky station in Delta, which is a rise of three cents from $1.57 last Friday, Jan. 26.
B.C.'s cheapest gas currently sits at $1.37 per litre, a weekly drop of one cent, posted at the Settler Place Husky in 150 Mile House — roughly 520 km north of Burnaby.
Nine of the province's top 10 lowest prices for fuel are in the Okanagan, GasBuddy.com says, including Salmon Arm, Kelowna, Vernon and Lake Country, offering prices that range from $1.39 to $1.43 per litre.
