It appears prices for fuel are on the decline — albeit very modestly — once again in Burnaby.
The cheapest gas in the city dropped by a single cent to $1.63 per litre at Smart Gas along Canada Way as of this publication, Feb. 9 (see list below).
That's the second least expensive price in all of Metro Vancouver behind the St. John's Street Chevron in Port Moody at $1.62 per litre.
It also comes a week after zero changes in most prices at local pumps, according to GasBuddy.com's latest report.
The largest known weekly decrease recorded was four cents at the Super Save Gas on 6th Street to $1.65 per litre from $1.69.
Burnaby's average gas price is currently $1.67 per litre, a dip of a one cent from $1.68 posted last Friday, Feb. 2.
There was an increase, however, in B.C.'s cheapest fuel and it can now be found further north.
GasBuddy.com says Super Save Gas on Victoria Street in Prince George has listed a price of $1.44 per litre.
The most affordable gas within driving distance is $1.49 at the Save and Gas on Farms Road in Hatzic — more than 65 km east of Burnaby.
