Here's where to find the cheapest gas in New West

Fuel prices are on the upswing in New Westminster, but it's lowest is one of the cheapest in all of Metro Vancouver.

Gas prices in New Westminster have gone up once again before the final weekend in April.

The cheapest in the city increased by three cents to $2.08 from $2.05 per litre, as of this publication, April 26, at the Centex and GOMarket on Ewen Avenue.

GasBuddy.com's latest report states most local outlets (see list below) recorded an uptick in fuel prices by as much as five cents since last Friday, April 19.

Despite the increase, $2.08 per litre is considered one of the more affordable options in all of Metro Vancouver.

The least expensive in the region is $1.99 per litre at the 104 Avenue CO-OP in Surrey. New West's average price rose four cents to $2.12 per litre.

Meanwhile, B.C.'s north and Okanagan regions are still paying less than $2 per litre, according to GasBuddy.com.

The cheapest gas in the province is listed at $1.63 per litre at the Super Save Gas in Quesnel. Others range from $1.64 to $1.69 per litre between Prince George and Salmon Arm.
