Heritage B.C. conference held in Burnaby

Heritage B.C.'s annual conference is being held in Burnaby today and tomorrow. B.C.'s Minister of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations, Steve Thomson, will speak at the conference today.

B.C.'s Minister of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations, Steve Thomson, will speak at the conference today.

Events on Saturday will include a tour of Deer Lake Park and conservation projects in the area, as well as the Burnaby Village Museum's collections and buildings.

The city's community heritage commission put $500 towards hosting the conference from its budget and will be sending up to five members to the conference, at an approximate cost of $3,000.

This year marks Heritage B.C.'s 30th anniversary.
