PET BLESSING
Animal lovers can have their pets blessed at St. Timothy's Church in Burnaby next Thursday.
"Many neighbourhood animals already know the grounds of our church from their daily walks," said Rev. Stephanie Shepard. "We welcome them to come inside and give thanks for their owners and the one who gave them life."
The pet blessing is on Thursday, Oct. 4, at 7: 30 p.m. The church is at 4550 Kitchener St. Animals should be suitably caged or leashed.
Anyone with shy pets can bring a photograph to be blessed instead.
The church will also have a remembrance board set up where people can write the names of recently deceased pets.
