Homara Ahmad is running with Burnaby Parents' Voice as a school trustee:
Homara Ahmad is a full-time mother to a son in kindergarten and a daughter in pre-school. She was born and raised in Powell River and now calls Burnaby her home. She graduated from Burnaby South and obtained her financial management diploma and bachelor of business from BCIT. Homara worked in human resources for over eight years. She has been active in the B.C. Muslim Association for many years and organizes student events for the Weekend Islamic School. Homara is an active member of the parent advisory council at her son's school.
As a trustee, Homara will ensure that children are taught to not only respect themselves but to also respect others. Students will be reminded of the Burnaby school district's code of conduct, which will be prominently posted in every Burnaby school. Students will be given more educational choices to allow them to excel in an increasingly competitive world.
