Homicide investigators have been brought in after human remains were discovered in a vehicle at a Burnaby towing yard.
Earlier on Wednesday, Burnaby RCMP officers were called to the 5000-block of Thorne Avenue for a report that human remains had been located in a vehicle. The address matches Mundie’s Towing and Recovery.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called and will be working in partnership with Burnaby RCMP to investigate.
“Based on the investigation to date, police do not consider this to be a random act and it is not believed that there is any danger to the public at this time,” said a police news release.
