Horizons Restaurant on Burnaby Mountain was closed for 10 days while police had the only access blocked because of ongoing anti-pipeline protests. The restaurant reopened Sunday evening.

Horizons Restaurant is back in business after a 10-day closure due to the ongoing protests on Burnaby Mountain.

Horizons, which employs approximately 60 people, was forced to close when police cut off access to Centennial Way, the only road leading to the Burnaby Mountain establishment.

Police opened the street to one-way traffic on Thursday, Nov. 27, after Kinder Morgan started clearing the area. Both lanes opened over the weekend, and Horizons reopened Sunday night.

"It's business as usual," said Yvonne Donhardt, one of the managers. "We are very happy to be back and up and running."

In a previous interview with the NOW, Kinder Morgan spokesperson Ali Hounsell said the company was in talks with Horizons about compensation but details would likely be kept private.
