Three police forces are investigating a tragic Fraser River scene where a newborn baby boy's body was found.
"It's on the border between Burnaby and Richmond - both forces were called out," said Sgt. Jennifer Pound of a third unit - the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team - which is called when an apparent murder has taken place.
Pound said further details will be coming soon as the investigation continues.
"It's a little baby boy - it's an infant," said Pound, who is now seeking investigative and humanitarian help.
"We're asking for the public's assistance because the [baby's mother] is in need of medical help."
