After years of debate and regulatory rigmarole, ride-hailing officially launched in Metro Vancouver last Friday.
But has is truly arrived?
Uber and Lyft, the two titans of ride-hailing, have set up shop in the Lower Mainland after years of waiting curbside. Currently, however, only Uber is operating on the North Shore, servicing a general pickup area that includes North Vancouver and about half of West Vancouver.
While some riders have claimed it’s been smooth sailing since firing up the app, others have reported having trouble finding a driver. What’s your experience been?
