Quebec-based breakfast spot opens its doors in Burnaby.

There's an old saying that goes, Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper.

A new breakfast spot has just softly opened its doors in Burnaby to allow you to start your day like a king (or a queen).

Quebec-based breakfast chain Pür & Simple announced its fourth location in B.C. last year, and will observe a grand opening in our very own Metrotown on Feb. 3 with a special promotion — first 50 guests eat free, according to the franchise owner Jordan Kandola. The promotion will cover one meal — one food item without modifications or substitutions and a non-alcoholic beverage, he said.

The breakfast company is encouraging everyone to look at the “sunny-side” as it offers a wide range of breakfast and lunch options — from red velvet buttermilk pancakes to eggs Benedict and skillets. Here's the whole menu.

Pür & Simple already has several locations across the country and in B.C., including Port Coquitlam, Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood and Kelowna.

Located at Burnaby’s Station Square Metrotown, across from the Crystal mall, next to JJ Bean Coffee roasters, this breakfast and lunch spot will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day.

"We're excited to serve this community. We are already seeing a lot of people drop in," Kandola said.
