The rail crossing at Cariboo and Government in North Burnaby can be a tricky thing.
The way it’s shaped and the slopes on either side sometimes confuse people. This is what happened Sunday night around 7 p.m. when a vehicle got its wheel stuck in the middle of the crossing.
Gulp.
The driver misjudged the turn and ended up stuck on the tracks. Fortunately, several people stopped to assist the vehicle before the train arrived.
The group all pitched in to lift and push the vehicle out of the jam and on its way.
Sometimes people are wonderful.
