Letter: Thanks to Burnaby RCMP for helping newcomer women

Canada is lucky to have police who are "trustworthy, fair and caring."

I really enjoyed reading the article Officer welcomes newcomer women to Canada in the Aug. 18 edition.

We are truly lucky in Canada to have our policing teams who are trustworthy, fair and caring. Thanks to Burnaby RCMP for providing this program to women coming from other countries. Lots of other places policing is seen as corrupt and people don't go to police for help.
