It will be a festive spring and summer in Burnaby, thanks in part to five City of Burnaby festival grants.
Council approved the grants at the April 2 council meeting.
Aubrey Elementary School was awarded a grant of $1,500 for its annual spring fair on May 11.
The Wildlife Rescue Association was awarded $3,000 for EarthFest on April 22.
The Bula! Fiji Association of B.C. was given $4,000 for the Fiji Festival on July 28.
And those organizing the annual Edmonds City Fair and Classic Car Show on July 22 received $4,000 as well.
