Burnaby RCMP are investigating a shooting that happened early on July 10 near the Sperling SkyTrain station.
Police were called to Greenwood and Winston streets shortly after 1 a.m., where they found the victim. The 19-year-old man had been shot several times, said Staff Sgt. Major John Buis.
"We don't believe it was a random act," he said. "We're still in the early stages of the investigation."
According to Buis, the victim is known to police and was conducting "a business transaction" when he was shot a number of times in his arm and body.
The victim was taken to hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
