WorkSafe B.C. is investigating an incident this morning in Burnaby that’s left one man in hospital.
Burnaby RCMP, emergency services and the fire department all responded to an incident at the worksite of the future SOLO District at Lougheed Highway and Willingdon Avenue.
According to a media release, the man, a worker at the site, was injured in an electrical incident around 10 a.m. today.
“Safety is our number one priority at any work site,” said Harry Rensmaag, site superintendent at SOLO District, in a media release. “We take incidents like this very seriously and will be doing everything we can to assist WorkSafe B.C. in their investigation.”
Police said the man is still in hospital and but couldn’t comment on his current condition.
WorkSafe B.C. couldn’t be reached for comment by press deadlines.
