UPDATE: The Burnaby man with special needs reported missing and possibly wandering in North Vancouver Friday morning has been found safe.
According to Burnaby RCMP, North Vancouver Rec Commission staff spotted the man in a local rec centre after recognizing him from media coverage and called police.Burnaby RCMP are asking the public to keep watch for a man with special needs reported missing who may be on the North Shore.
Suyong Lee, 47, was last seen at 9 p.m. on Wednesday in the 7000 block of Salsbury Avenue in Burnaby.
He is described as a Korean male, standing about five-foot seven, with a medium build and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a blue and white coat, a blue shirt and brown pants.
“In addition to Burnaby he may also potentially be in North Van/Lynn Valley area. He has also in the past frequented the waterfront in downtown Vancouver. Suyong has special needs and primarily speaks Korean. He may be quite shy around unfamiliar people,” police stated in a message Friday morning.
