Mounties investigating stabbing

A Burnaby man was arrested Tuesday night for stabbing another city resident. According to Burnaby RCMP, the victim was visiting the suspect’s home in the 7100 block of 17th Avenue at about 10:15 p.m.

A Burnaby man was arrested Tuesday night for stabbing another city resident.

According to Burnaby RCMP, the victim was visiting the suspect’s home in the 7100 block of 17th Avenue at about 10:15 p.m. on July 22 when a “dispute occurred and the victim was stabbed.”

Mounties say the victim then left the home and called 911 from a pharmacy in the 4800 block of Kingsway. Officers were sent to the suspect’s home on 17th Avenue and arrested the individual.

The suspect is in custody at this time and will be in court sometime today (Wednesday).

The victim was taken to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries, police added.
