Mounties make arrest in string of thefts

From June to August there was a string of break-ins to cars and apartment buildings, including units and laundry rooms, according to a media release.

"Investigators from the Burnaby RCMP prolific offenders unit put in countless hours following a trail of break-ins and thefts commencing in June and stretching through August," stated the release.

Police alleged the suspect may have been involved in as many as 14 incidents of theft during this time.

The RCMP arrested 45-year-old Burnaby resident Scott Taylor on multiple charges of break and enter and theft as well as a breach of probation. Taylor has been remanded into custody until he appears in court on Sept. 24.
