Mural gets some funding help

A mural that is part of efforts to revitalize the neighbourhood around Gilley Avenue and Kingsway is receiving funding from the city. Burnaby council approved a grant of $3,500 for the project at 7012 Randolph St.

Burnaby council approved a grant of $3,500 for the project at 7012 Randolph St.

The mural, which features silhouettes engaging in various physical activities, is on the side of Novo Gym Fitness, and was completed by artist Todd Polich.

The full cost of the project was estimated to be $7,000, according to a report from the city's acting director of engineering, Barry Davis.
