Musical ride comes to Burnaby this summer

Burnaby residents are in for a special treat this August as the RCMP Musical Ride gallops into Swangard Stadium.

According to a press release, the Musical Ride will be in town for one night on Tuesday, August 27 with some of the RCMP's famous manoeuvres, including the dome formation and charge movement.

"The RCMP Musical Ride represents a colourful Canadian tradition," said Burnaby mayor Derek Corrigan, in the release. "The City of Burnaby is pleased to welcome the riders and this spectacular event to Swangard Stadium."

The show will start at 5:30 p.m. and run until 9 p.m. Tickets are $10, or free for children five and under. The money collected will go towards supporting programs run by the Rotary Club of Burnaby as well as the Law Enforcement Torch Run, which raises awareness and funds for Special Olympics.
