Burnaby Mountain Secondary art students joined artist Todd Polich as he worked on a large mural that was unveiled last Wednesday.

The mural - nature and city scenes painted on the retaining wall near the Sears outlet store near Lougheed Town Centre - is part of the Burnaby North Road Business Improvement Association's beautification project for the area.

The image includes images of Burnaby's walking paths, Stoney Creek, transportation in the city, and a salmon release, according to the report from the City of Burnaby.

The artist, the school's students and faculty, and the association collaborated on the mural over several months.
