Fraser Health has provided an update on COVID-19 outbreaks in long-term care, acute care and community settings:
Fraser Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak over at Fellburn Care Centre in Burnaby. With the implementation of strategies to prevent and respond to COVID-19 in care facilities, there are no longer any COVID-19 cases at this location.
Fellburn had seen dozens of cases and multiple deaths during this outbreak.
The outbreak at Burnaby Hospital continues.
Fraser Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak in the high-intensity rehabilitation unit at Laurel Place after evidence of transmission in this unit. Four patients and two staff have tested positive for COVID-19. The outbreak is limited to one unit, which is temporarily closed to admissions.
Fraser Health has notified all patients on the affected unit about the outbreak, and in addition, have informed the families of patients who are unable to share this information.
Fraser Health Public Health has declared COVID-19 outbreaks at four locations of Highline Farms after finding evidence of COVID-19 transmission among staff working at the following sites:
- Abby Farm – 38050 Atkinson Road, Abbotsford
- Infinity – 28424 Townshipline Road, Abbotsford
- Trademark – 28243 Townshipline Road, Abbotsford
- 3392 224 Street, Langley
To date, 59 employees at these locations have tested positive for COVID-19. Fraser Health has screened employees at each facility, and case and contact management has taken place. Those identified as cases and close contacts have been instructed to self-isolate.
