A Burnaby man was arrested, and the Burnaby RCMP have seized several kilograms of raw opium after police acted on a tip from the Canada Border Services Agency.
Police used surveillance and search warrants to arrest the man, whom they are not identifying at this time because the investigation is ongoing.
The raw opium seized is equal to approximately 100,000 doses.
Police believe the opium originated from the Middle East.
