Police appeal for video of area where Burnaby woman gunned down

Homicide investigators are looking for any video footage that might help them find out who fatally shot a Burnaby woman in North Vancouver last week.

Anita Nguyen, 32, died in hospital after being shot in broad daylight in a North Vancouver parking lot behind businesses in the 1100 block of Lonsdale Avenue on April 2.

Police were called to the scene at about 11 a.m. to find Nguyen suffering from gunshot wounds.

She was put on life support and died two days later, according to police.

Police say Nguyen was driving her Volkswagen Passat to her workplace on Lonsdale Avenue the day the shooting took place. 

Investigators are now looking for anyone with dashcam video or any other type of video footage of the area of the shooting between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. on April 2.

“Detectives continue to relentlessly pursue Anita Nguyen’s killer and we need the community to partner with us in solving her murder,” IHIT Cpl. Frank Jang stated in a press release.  “She was a young mother and we are working hard to find answers for her family.”
