Burnaby residents are being invited to an online event to learn more about issues surrounding the recent fatal gang shooting at Market Crossing mall on May 13.
“When a community experiences a homicide, we know that people can have questions around safety,” reads a Burnaby RCMP news release.
On Tuesday, May 25, at 10 a.m., the Burnaby RCMP will be hosting a Zoom webinar to talk to local residents and workers about their concerns following the fatal shooting.
The webinar will cover:
- How you are feeling about the recent homicide that happened in your neighbourhood;
- What tools, resources and programs are available through the Burnaby RCMP;
- How to talk to others about what happened;
- How to process traumatic incidents and deal with related anxiety, and
- How you can help.
