Motorcyclist killed in Burnaby collision

Police are looking for witnesses and dashcam video after a 34-year-old man was killed in a collision between a motorcycle and car at Douglas Road and Laurel Street.

A 34-year-old man is dead after a crash in Burnaby involving a car and motorcycle Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Douglas Road and Laurel Street at 6:20 a.m. for reports of a motor vehicle collision.

At the scene they found a hatchback and a motorcycle, according to a Burnaby RCMP news release.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the hatchback remained at the scene after the crash, which police believe happened at about 6:10 a.m. 

“Impairment does not appear to be a factor at this time,” stated the release.
