Police looking for help finding missing 52-year-old Burnaby woman

Burnaby's Reshmi "Rose" Mani was last seen on Jan. 7 in Surrey.

Police, family and friends are all worried about the well-being of a 52-year-old Burnaby woman last seen on Jan. 7.

Reshmi “Rose” Mani is described as a five-foot-three, 110-pound South Asian woman with black hair and brown eyes, according to a Burnaby RCMP news release.

Local Mounties first put out a call for information about Mani two weeks ago, saying she had last been seen in the area of Inman Avenue and Moscrop Street on the morning of Friday, Jan. 7.

But the investigation has since led police to surveillance video at a business near King George Boulevard and 108 Avenue in Surrey that showed Mani was there at 2:14 p.m. on Jan. 7, according to another Burnaby RCMP news release Thursday.

Police have also learned that Mani was in the King George Boulevard and Scott Road area approximately 45 minutes after the video was taken, according to the release.

In a still of the video released by police, Mani is wearing a black hooded jacket and a blue face covering.

“We really need the public’s assistance in locating Rose,” spokesperson Cpl. Mike Kalanj said in the release. “Please share her photo and this new information.”

Anyone with any information about the whereabouts of Reshmi “Rose” Mani, is asked to call Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999.
