A driver who just bought a Ferrari was caught doing twice the speed limit in Burnaby and will now have to wait to get the fast car back.
That’s according to Metro Vancouver Transit Police.
The police agency tweeted out a photo of a Ferrari being towed away after being caught excessively speeding on Lougheed Highway near the Lake City SkyTrain station as part of a transit enforcement project.
Excessive speeding, as opposed to regular speeding, nets a ticket and having your vehicle impounded for a week.
“Note to self...Don't excessively speed the day you buy your Ferrari,” Tweet Transit Police. “Just another way of provided safety to riders walking to the Lake City SkyTrain station. This was 300 metres from the crosswalk to the station on Lougheed Highway.”
