Police searching for missing Burnaby woman

Burnaby RCMP is asking for the public’s help in locating a Burnaby woman last seen on Nov. 29.

According to police, Kieana Justine Russell was last seen near Willingdon Avenue and Canada Way. Russell may be in need of medical assistance and is known to frequent Vancouver’s downtown eastside.

The 32-year-old Burnaby resident is about 5’2” with a stocky build. She has a fair complexion with bleached blond hair and green eyes, according to a Burnaby RCMP media release.

Anyone with information on Russell’s whereabouts is asked to contact Const. Au of Burnaby RCMP’s investigative support team at 604-294-7922.

Search continues for Lon Batchelor

Burnaby Mounties haven’t given up hope in finding 43-year-old Lon Batchelor.

According to Burnaby RCMP, Batchelor has no fixed address but is known to frequent Burnaby and Vancouver.

Batchelor is described as Caucasian, 5’8” with a medium build and short dark brown hair. He sometimes wears glasses and is missing part of his right pinky finger. Batchelor was last heard from on July 1, according to a Burnaby RCMP media release.

Anyone with information on Batchelor’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Burnaby RCMP at 604-294-7922, and ask to speak to a member of the missing persons unit.

Burnaby senior missing nearly a year

Mounties are continuing their investigation into the disappearance of Burnaby senior Guifeng Tong.

According to police, Tong was last scene on Jan. 16 in northeast Burnaby. At the time, Mounties conducted an extensive search of the area but couldn’t locate the 66-year-old woman.

Tong only speaks Mandarin and is described as Asian, 5 feet tall, about 100 pounds with a slim build. She was last seen wearing black shoes, black pants and a red hooded rain jacket, according to a media release from Burnaby RCMP.

Tong is known to walk and take transit, and frequents the Burnaby Mountain and Burnaby Lake areas, the release added.

Burnaby RCMP is asking trail users to report anything suspicious in the above areas. Anyone with information on Tong’s whereabouts is asked to call Burnaby RCMP at 604-294-7922.
