Police seek 'rare' $5K electric scooter stolen in Burnaby

The owner reported his VSETT Super 72 scooter was stolen from outside the Brentwood Staples store after he failed to lock it up, according to Burnaby RCMP.

Burnaby RCMP is looking for help finding a high-end electric scooter stolen from outside the Brentwood Staples store at 4265 Lougheed Hwy. earlier this month.

Burnaby RCMP got a call at about 9:20 a.m. on Aug. 8 from the owner who said he hadn’t locked the scooter and it had been stolen, according to the detachment.

Police described the scooter — a VSETT Super 72 — as "very rare" and said it was valued at more than $5,000.

A black bag with personal items inside, including tools, a speaker and identification was attached to the scooter at the time of the theft.

Police have video of the incident and are working to identify the suspect, according to Burnaby RCMP.
