More than 600 BC Hydro customers are without power in North Burnaby, as crews do maintenance work in the area.
The outage is affecting buildings south of Penzance Drive, west of Pender Street and east of Carleton Avenue. Power is not expected to return until 5 p.m.
BC Hydro apparently told some people in the area to expect the outage, but not everyone got advance notice.
“Please note that some customers may not have been notified about this outage in advance as the scope of work changed on site,” a note on BC Hydro’s website says.
