Flashers are not running rampant in Burnaby despite recent media reports, say Burnaby RCMP.
Other media in the Lower Mainland reported there were six incidents of indecent exposure in Burnaby in the past two days, but have actually been six flasher reports since the beginning of the month, according to Burnaby RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Daniela Panesar.
Analysts with the local RCMP detachment are reviewing each file to determine if there’s anything out of the ordinary, Panesar said, adding that it’s not uncommon to have a few public indecency incidents.
Investigators will also be looking for anything that could indicate it’s the same suspect in all six cases.
