Rain will rule Burnaby over the first week of December

Burnaby could see as much as 20 mm by Tuesday morning, Dec. 5, according to the early forecast for the final month of 2023.

Burnaby will have a wet December — to start — as the weather forecast is calling for long periods of rainfall, Dec. 1 to 7.

There's no snow in sight — for now.

That's according to the latest weather forecast for Burnaby as the city is expected to be drenched in rain to start December.

Weatherhood is calling for an average of 10 mm of rainfall each day between today, Dec. 1, and Thursday, Dec. 7.

The highest amount of precipitation this week may reach up to 20 mm by Tuesday morning, Dec. 5, as of this publication.

Temperatures are also predicted to stay on the warmer side.

Burnaby may experience a weekly high of 11°C by Monday, Dec. 4, Weatherhood's data stated.

The thermometer is expected to stay above freezing point to start the final month of 2023, dipping to a low of 3°C by Sunday, Dec. 3, and Thursday, Dec. 7.

Winds will gust up to 20 km/h heading northwest on Saturday morning, Dec. 2, before becoming light in the afternoon — and for the rest of the weekend.
