Ramadan marked with food donated to vulnerable in Burnaby

The M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi School of Islamic Sufism celebrated the end of the holy month of Ramadan by feeding vulnerable people in Burnaby on Sunday.

The M.T.O. Shahmaghsoudi School of Islamic Sufism celebrated the end of the holy month of Ramadan by feeding vulnerable people in Burnaby on Sunday.

The centre donated a total of 750 meals across 10 locations in Metro Vancouver, including the warming centre that has been set up at Burnaby’s Bill Copeland Arena during the COVID-19 pandemic.

For the last delivery of the day, volunteers were joined by Burnaby Mayor Mike Hurley, Burnaby MLA and Minister of Child Care Katrina Chen, MLA Raj Chouhan, MLA and Minister of Citizens’ Services Anne Kang.
