Burnaby RCMP are warning the public to be on the lookout for a convicted sex offender who may be in the Burnaby area.

According to a press release, the RCMP, Ronald Currie Miljure was sentenced to six years in jail for sexually assaulting three prostitutes in the Vancouver area.

The 35-year-old, Aboriginal man is 6'3" and 194lbs with a damaged right eye and a scar on his left middle finger. Miljure has four tattoos: including a Celtic cross and koi fish on his left forearm, a Tasmanian devil on his upper left arm, and skulls on his right arm. He was last seen wearing a grey sweater and blue jeans, according to the release.

"Miljure has serious substance abuse issues - alcohol and crystal meth preferred intoxicants ... (and) is at high risk to re-offend," stated the release.

According to Burnaby RCMP, Miljure is a person of interest to the Vancouver Police Department's high risk offender unit, but Vancouver police couldn't say for what reason.

"There are number of high-risk offenders that our unit monitors, but other than that there's not much I can share," said Const. Brian Montague, spokesperson for the Vancouver Police Department.

Anyone who has information about Miljure's whereabouts, or who sees him, is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately and to not approach him under any circumstances.
